Multiplication Table Flashcards (1–12)
Showing question
About this deck
All 144 multiplication facts from 1 × 1 to 12 × 12, grouped by table: the 1s, then the 2s, and so on up to the 12s. Each card shows the problem on the front and the product on the back.
Times tables are usually introduced in third grade and practiced through fifth grade, but the deck is just as useful for older students and adults who want faster mental math.
Study the whole set, or copy the deck and keep only the tables you're practising. If you print the deck, the cards come out in table order, which makes it easy to pull out a single row.
Study tips
- Learn the easy tables first: 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s. Then 11s, 9s, 4s and 3s.
- Use the commutative property: once you know 4 × 7, you also know 7 × 4. Only 78 of the 144 facts are truly different.
- The hardest facts for most students are 6 × 7, 6 × 8, 7 × 8 and 8 × 8. Give them extra reps.
- For the 9s up to 9 × 10, the digits of the answer add up to 9 (9 × 7 = 63, and 6 + 3 = 9).
- Say the whole fact aloud, "seven times eight is fifty-six", rather than just the answer.

Frequently asked questions
›Why does the deck go to 12 instead of 10?
Many curricula, especially in the UK, expect tables up to 12 × 12. If your school stops at 10, copy the deck and delete the 11s and 12s.
›How many cards are in the deck?
144 cards: 12 tables with 12 facts each.
›How can I tell when the facts are memorized?
A good benchmark is an answer within about three seconds without skip-counting.
